Warning Signs
General Information:
Warning signs indicate unexpected or hazardous conditions where special care or reduced
speed is appropriate, such as near the entrance to a school, kindergarten, preschool centre or hospital. The majority of warning signs are a diamond shape with a black legend or symbol on a yellow background to indicate caution. Warning signs include:
- advisory speed signs (to safely negotiate bends).
- advance warning of traffic control devices (such as traffic lights).
- road conditions (for example, slippery when wet).
