General Information:
A71 is a rural route connecting New South Wales with the mid western parts of Queensland. The route primarily passes through bushland and rural properties, and small towns. The major centres along the route include Cunnamulla and Charleville.
Multiplexes along the route include:
- State Route 49, for 4 km, Cunnamulla.
History:
- October 2009: Widening of a 5 km stretch of the highway near Barringun. 2
- 2009: Rest area upgrades at Wyandra and between Cunnamulla and Charleville. 3
