General Information:

Tourist Drive 1 is a loop route that passes through mostly leafy residential suburbs in the eastern part of Toowoomba. The route is quite elevated and offers beautiful views over the surrounding countryside. The route services Katoomba Point Lookout, Prince Henry Lookout, Lovers Outlook, Picnic Point Lookout and the Tobruk Memorial, which is erected in commemoration of the siege of Tobruk 10 April 1941 to 7 December 1941 and dedicated to allied servicemen, including 782 Australian soldiers who lost their lives during the siege, the first defeat of the German Land Forces in World War II. ²
