Batemans Bay
Popular with holiday makers and tourists, Batemans Bay is a small town located on the New South Wales south coast. The town is located on the banks of the Clyde River and surround by state forests and national parks and offers easy access to a number of beaches.
The town is supported by oyster farming, forestry, eco-tourism and retail, and is a major stop on a journey along the coast between Wollongong and the Victorian Border.
In April 1770, European explorer Captain James Cook sighted and named the bay. The traditional people of the land surrounding Batemans Bay are the Indigenous Australian Yuin people of the Walbunja clan.

Princes Highway:
