Maclean
Maclean is situated on the Clarence River, just off the Pacific Motorway, between Grafton and Ballina. The town is set in superb settings - nestled in the valley forged by the Clarence River, with some interesting buildings and enough mountains to provide a nice backdrop. The town's main industries are fishing and sugar cane farming. Maclean is also known as the Scottish town of Australia - the town celebrated the birthplace of several early settlers with an annual Highland Gathering.
