Mount Hope is a settlement in western New South Wales. The history of the town includes the commencement of copper mine operations in the 1870s, but the area has also been home to agricultural activities for many years as well. The town centre consists of a handful of dwellings and the pub, though there were more buildings in the town's heyday. During the early 20th century railway access was extended to service the town and mining operations, but its operation ceased after 5 years.
